It was not yet decided what was to be done with the proceeds. <br /> LETTER FROM THE RED CROSS ASKING PERMISSION TO PLACE RED CROSS POSTERS ON LAMP POSTS AND PAINT <br /> ON THE SIDEWALKS. Councilman Britschgi moved that if the Red Cross will carry the usual <br /> insurance, request be granted, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br /> MAYOR HERKNER BROUGHT UP THE MATTER OF PINS FOR THE EMPLOYEES FO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. The <br /> pins are in the hands of the designer. <br /> IT WAS AGREED THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL WILL ATTEND THE MEETINGS OF THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION SO THAT THE COUNCIL MAY BE INFORMED OF HEIR ACTIVITIES. Councilmen will <br /> attend in alphabetical order beginning with Councilman Britschgi. <br /> 1 <br /> MRS... ELLA COYLE REMARKED THAT THE BENCH IN FRONT OF THE CITY HALL WAS VERY ATTRACTIVE. <br /> EX -MAYOR HILTON WAS IN ATTENDANCE AND WAS WELCOMED BY MAYOR HERKNER. <br /> BILLS NOS. 15692 to 15857 were presented to the Council for payment,. in the amount of $84,417.52. <br /> Councilman Royer moved that these bills be paid, seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br /> carried. <br /> MEETING ADJOURNED AT 11 P. M. <br /> 1 <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Paul <br /> Jones, William H. Royer, Hiram S. Stout, Robert V. Spillers and Mayor Sidney D. Herkner. <br /> Also present were Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, City Clerk R. S. Dodge, City Col- <br /> lector Paul E. Perrin, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Police Chief S. D. Wood, Building <br /> Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police Captain Wm. Faulstich, Police Sergeant Ted Moudakas, City <br /> Manager E. A. Rolison, and City Auditor - Assessor John J. Brophy. <br /> RETURNS OF SPECIAL PORT BOND ELECTION WERE CANVASSED AND ABSENTEE BALLOTS COUNTED. On absentee <br /> ballots there were 22 yes and 14 no. RESOLUTION 1830 declaring canvass of returns and <br /> result of Special Bond Election was offered by Councilman Royer who moved its adoption, <br /> seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1830 <br /> DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND <br /> ELECTION HELD FEBRUARY 8, 1955 <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> duly called and ordered held in said City a special munici al <br /> P <br /> y J P <br /> election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified <br /> voters and electors thereof the measure hereinafter set forth; <br /> and <br />
