i <br /> I <br /> PERRY A. BYGDNES RESIGNATION FROM PORT COMMISSION EFFECTIVE APRIL 11TH. Letter from Mr. <br /> Bygdnes in which he stated that because he has moved out of the City of Redwood City, <br /> he has disqualified himself to serve in Redwood City. Councilman Jones offered Resolu- <br /> tion and moved adoption commending Mr. Perry A. Bygdnes for his very successful term <br /> as member of Port Commission, accepting resignation with regret, seconded by Councilman <br /> Stout. Councilman Granger commented that he had proposed Mr. Bygdnes who had been one <br /> II <br /> of the most outstanding members on the Commission and the Official City Family. The mo- <br /> tion was carried on roll call. Mayor Herkner remarked that the City has lost a very com- <br /> petent man, and that he personally regretted the above action. <br /> ATTORNEY DABA RE: ALLEGED INJURY RESULT OF FALL OF MRS. SACCUTTI AT THE CORNER OF JEFFERSON <br /> AND MIDDLEFIELD. Letter from Attorney Daba was read in which he stated that Mrs. Saccutti <br /> has injured her back and knee, suggesting that the matter be referred to the insurance <br /> carrier. Councilman Spillers moved that the claim be denied, and referred to the insurance <br /> carrier, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> D. SOLOMON OPERATOR OF "YOUNGER SET" STORE, APPLICATION FOR "GOING- OUT -OF- BUSINESS" SALE. <br /> Councilman Royer moved that application be granted subject to compliance with the Ordinance <br /> with time limit to May 15, 1955. Councilman Granger moved the motion should include that <br /> the City Collector should take an inventory of the merchandise. Councilman Britschgi <br /> suggested that Mr. Solomon be asked to submit an inventory and if approved by the City <br /> Collector all will be in order. City Collector will check the above conditions before is- <br /> suing license. <br /> MR. ARIS PARTIDOS, 466 QUARTZ STREET, REQUESTED INFORMATION REGARDING THE YACHT HARBOR, stating <br /> that he is eager to berth a boat there. The Council informed Mr. Partidos that the Yacht <br /> Harbor is not a dead issue and that a committee is working on this. <br /> COUNCILMAN SPILLERS MOVED THAT CLAIMS NO. 16169 TO NO. 16285 FOR $32,591.48 BE APPROVED FOR <br /> PAYMENT, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN SPILLERS MOVED ADJOURNMENT AT 9:40 P.M. TO APRIL llth, seconded by Councilman Stout <br /> and carried. <br /> RASJPH S.
