ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE 600.55 REZONE AREA BOUNDED BY EL CAMINO REAL, CENTER,
LINDEN AND WOODSIDE ROAD TO C- 1 -H -F. Affidavit of publication was ordered filed by the
Mayor. Letter from Mr. and Mrs. Agbayani opposing the rezoning of Lots 6 and 7 and re-
questing that they be notified officially of any application for a change in the variance
between the Hinman property and theirs. The Agbayanis had no objections to the rezoning
of the rear of Mrs. Morgan's lot. Councilman Granger moved that the letter be made a part
of the record and that some provision be set up whereby interested parties should be offi-
cially notified of any applications for variances, seconded by Councilman Spillers and
carried.
"The City Council
Gentlemen,
Our first letter to you has been on file for some weeks,
and will have been read by the City Clerk to you at the start
of this hearing. We did not withdraw that letter as it states
our problem and how we feel about the proposed rezoning. We
have tried to get more information however, and found that a
variance between the Hinman property and the Agbayani property
Ti. be the solution as we share a driveway, and the homes are
close.
We don't know just the extent that this would protect us,
and perhaps you might clear that point, but we would not be op-
posed to it. We would like it put in your record and with the
building inspector's office, that we are to be officially noti-
fied of any application for a change in the variance.
We know that it is often difficult to satisfy everyone in
a group, and yet stay within your rules, by reputation you gentle-
men try to do just that. We are not in opposition to Mrs. Morgan's
plans but two neighbors trying to work together, and we want to
thank you for your consideration of our problem.
Thelma and Arcadio Agbayani"
Councilman Spillers moved that public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Stout and
carried. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of Ordinance 600.55, seconded by Councilman
Granger and carried on roll..call, Councilmen Royer and Britschgi noted absent.
