Councilmen <br /> advised the Clerk pro -tem if they planned to attend this meeting. <br /> AUTHORIZE CLERK TO ACCEPT PETE BESOZZI DEED TO 72 FEET FOR WIDENING OAKWOOD DRIVE. Councilman <br /> Granger moved that the Clerk be authorized to accept this deed, seconded by Councilman <br /> Royer and carried. <br /> APPLICATION FOR SAFE AND SANE FIREWORKS. <br /> 1. Thrifty Drug Store 340 Woodside Road <br /> 2. Lavering's Variety Store 1712 El Camino Real <br /> 3. Kleer Drug Co. 2b36 Broadway <br /> Letter from Fire Chief recommending permits to the above was read. Councilman Granger <br /> moved that the permits be granted subject to approval of Fire Department, seconded by <br /> Councilman Spillers and carried. City ivianager Rolison raised the question of future re- <br /> quests for such permits goint to the Council. Councilman Royer moved that the Fire Chief <br /> be authorized to issue any future permits, seconded by Councilman Stout. Fire Chief in- <br /> formed the Council that these permits are subject to Council approval as set forth in the <br /> Charter. Councilman Royer withdrew his motion with approval of Councilman Stout. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL RESUBDIVIDE OF EMERICK PROPERTY (Canyon Road and Breeze <br /> Place) to allow for extension of Breeze Place and widening of Canyon Road. Councilman Spil- <br /> 1 lers moved approval of the recommendation, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> PLANNING MM <br /> L NING CO ISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL A. M. SARRIS APPLICATION TO RESUBDIVIDE LOTS 12 to 15, <br /> BLOCK 8, WEST REDWOOD, INTO TWO LOTS (1236 Ruby Street). 46 x 118.99 and 54 x 118.99. <br /> Councilman Royer moved that the recommendation be approved subject to the owner paying <br /> for the sewer lateral, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUILDING CODE. Councilman Royer moved introduction of <br /> ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE REZONING PELLARIN LOT FROM R -4 TO C- 1 -H -F. (Portion of Lot C, Sub- <br /> division 2, W. W. & M. Subdivision). Councilman Spillers moved approval of the recommenda- <br /> tion, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING TRAFFIC ORDINANCE, TWO HOUR PARKING BREWSTER AND ARGUELLO. <br /> Councilman Spillers offered Ordinance for introduction, seconded by Councilman Royer. Capt. <br /> Faulstich informed the Council that this is an area that is being considered for metering. <br /> Motion carried on roll call, Councilman Britschgi voting NO. <br /> GOING BACK TO OAK AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS BETWEEN HAWES AND GORDON, the City Engineer advised the <br /> Council that the bids were over 10% over the estimated cost and he hesitated to make a <br /> recommendation stating that the property owners should be contacted to see if they can stand <br /> this increase of cost. City Engineer recommended that the bids be held up two weeks so <br /> that notices could be sent to the property owners advising them what has occured. An <br /> error was noted in Bauman's bid changing the bids to read as follows: <br /> Bauman Bros. 4,180.60 <br /> Bragato Paving 4,220.70 <br /> Oscar C. Holmes 4,5 <br /> City Attorney advised the Council that Resolution ordering the work done should be adopted. <br /> Councilman Stout moved adoption of RESOLUTION 18 ?3 ordering improvements, seconded by Coun- <br /> cilman Spillers and carried on roll call. Councilman Spillers suggested that the recommen- <br /> dation of the City Engineer to hold matters up for two weeks be accepted, this to be held <br /> to May 31st.
