St�ategic Initiative: <br /> T�anspo�tation <br /> Lookinq to the Future Strategic Goals <br /> Following the initial streetcar feasibility study and analysis, staff will <br /> evaluate whether a streetcar system is appropriate for Redwood City at <br /> this time, and if not, whether and when it may be a viable project. Support and dcvclop <br /> Subsequently, if appropriate, staff will then begin to integrate streetcar altcrnativc <br /> transportation into Redwood City's long-term planning programs. transportation modcs <br /> The Bay Trail project between Whipple Avenue and Bair Island Road <br /> will be completed by June 30, 2012, closing a 0.5 mile gap in the Bay <br /> Trail. Improvements to the North-South bike route, including signage <br /> ��-�� � and bicycle detectors, will be completed. Staff <br /> will continue reviewing and analyzing Engagc <br /> Complete Streets policies of other ncighborhoods to <br /> jurisdictions, to distill the information and mutually dcvclop <br /> identify best practices most suited to Redwood solutions to traffic <br /> City.
