Study Session — proposed Capital Improvement Program budget amendment for fiscal <br /> year 2011/2012 (FY 2011/12). <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Review the proposed amendments for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget for <br /> FY2011/12 so that the resulting revisions may be considered for adoption when presented to <br /> the City Council on June 27, 2011. <br /> Chu Chang, Community Development Manager of Engineering and Transportation, introduced <br /> the report and asked Paul Willis, Senior Civil Engineer to present the report. One Council <br /> Member noted how impressive the CIP document was and how she would like it posted to the <br /> City's website. Mr. Willis thanked his co-workers for all their hard work towards preparing this <br /> report (presentation on file). Subsequently, he covered the funding sources for each of the <br /> programs and then expounded on review guidelines and the organizational analysis. <br /> Another Council Member complimented Mr. Willis on his presentation. Council inquired about <br /> the island and median program and staff clarified that the improvements on Broadway and <br /> Woodside are planned for the next year. Another Council Member clarified that these CIP funds <br /> are earmarked for specific projects and cannot be funneled to the General Fund. There was <br /> some emphasis on continuing with roadway improvements.
