6.1.F. - Page6 5.2 Fire Extin_uisher. Licensee, at his/her own expense will provide, maintain and repair fire extinguisher(s) for Licensee's Premises. 5.3 Utilit. Charqes. Licensee agrees to pay for all connections and charges and/or assessments for water, sewer, and electricity associated with the operation of the License Area. Licensor, with 24-hours notice to the Licensee, shall enter Licensee's premises monthly to read the water and sewer meter. The electricity charge will be based on actual usage by the Licensee. The telephone / Internet, cable hookup shall be arranged directly with the communications company. 5.4 Interruption. Licensor shall not be liable for any failure or interruption of any utility service being furnished to the License Area, and no such failure or interruption shall entitle Licensee to terminate this License. 6. CAFE SERVICES 6.1 Exclusive Food Provider. Licensee is an independent contractor with the exclusive right and privilege to operate the Cafe within Redwood Shores Branch Library and to sell and dispense food as may be permitted by the City of Redwood City. 6.2 Use of Cafe Space. Licensee shall use the Cafe space for food preparation, food consumption, and/or sale. 6.3 Licensee's Duties. Licensee shall hire an adequate number of persons in order to provide food services in a prompt and timely manner under this License. 6.4 Pavment of Licensee's Emplo.�. Licensee shall pay all persons hired as required by law including but not limited to income tax withholding and social security payments. No employee of Licensee shall be deemed to be an employee of City of Redwood City. 6.5 Price of Food. All food sold shall be sold at reasonable prices as determined by Licensee. 6.6 Qualitv of Food. All food and presentation shall be first class with the minimum standard being high quality food and service comparable to or exceeding those of other retail, non-subsidized cafes. The highest standard of cleanliness and sanitation on the premises and in the course of food preparation shall be maintained without exception. 6.7 Cross Contamination. Every effort shall be made to avoid cross contamination of foods and food borne illness. Employees with any communicable disease shall not work in areas where contamination can occur. Licensee shall maintain at least one employee trained in the avoidance of cross contamination as required by law. Licensee shall maintain and prepare food in a manner and at appropriate temperatures that meet or exceed County Health or other relevant food preparation and storage guidelines. 6.8 Refriqeration. Licensee shall monitor refrigerators and freezers and periodically, no less than once per week, measure the temperature within each refrigerator or freezer to determine if appropriate temperatures are being maintained.
