<br />Redwood City Courthouse Plaza, Pavilions & Fa~ade Lighting <br /> <br />11 March 2005 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />Phase 1\1 (Construction Administration) will consist of the following: <br /> <br />3.1 Respond to Requests for Information/Clarification by the Owner, Architect and the Contractor (twenty (20) hours by a Principal <br />of the firm or the Project Director is included in the fee). <br /> <br />3.2 Checking of shop drawings of specified equipment and associated architectural elements. (Time for two (2) reviews of shop <br />drawings and/or submittals is included in the fee. Time for additional shop drawings/submittal reviews will be billed on a time & <br />materials basis, as required). <br /> <br />3.3 Final review of completed lighting installation, supervision of focusing of adjustable fixtures (time for one (1) site visit by a <br />Principal of the firm and the Project Director is included in the fee). The electrical contractor will supply personnel to perform <br />this work in compliance with local laws and union agreements. <br /> <br />3.4 Preparation of written punch list. <br /> <br />Fees <br /> <br />Our fees will be based on the following hourly rates, subject to salary increases during the life of the project: <br /> <br />Principals Angela McDonald @ $190.00 per hour <br />Associates Lilian Rodriguez @ $145.00 per hour <br />Senior Designers Jay Wratten @ $115.00 per hour <br /> Josie Lawrence @ $110.00 per hour <br /> Rohini Pendyala @ $105.00 per hour <br />Administrative: $ 60.00 per hour <br /> <br />The estimated maximum fee will be forty-four thousand six hundred fifty dollars ($44,650). Refer to Attachment "A" Hour Budget for <br />a detailed breakdown of the fee by phase. <br /> <br />Phase I <br />Phase II <br />Phase III <br />Estimated Reimbursables <br /> <br />Design Development <br />Contract Documents <br />Construction Administration <br /> <br />$ 19,950 <br />$ 14,800 <br />$ 7,000 <br />$ 2,900 <br /> <br />Total <br /> <br />$ 44,650 <br /> <br />Invoices for accumulated time and expenses will be submitted monthly on an hourly basis and will be payable within thirty (30) days. <br />All invoices not paid within thirty days of submission will be assessed a finance charge of 1.5% of the remaining balance per month. <br /> <br />Before exceeding the above fee due to an increase in the scope of the project, or due to changes and/or revisions after work in <br />Phase I (Design Development) has been completed, we will notify the Architect in writing in order to secure written approval. <br /> <br />Time spent in out-of-town travel is not anticipated and is therefore not included in the maximum fee. <br /> <br />Reimbursable Expenses <br /> <br />All incidental expenses such as toll telephone calls, messengers, express mail services, and photocopies are included in the <br />estimated maximum fee and will be billed at cost times a multiplier of 1.15. Each facsimile transmission will be billed at the rate of <br />$1.00 per page in addition to the telephone toll charges. Charges for In-House Reproduction expense for plots will be billed at 5.00 <br />each.
