72 -A 3. <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO <br />LEVY THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2003 -2004 FOR THE <br />SEAPORT CENTRE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR TO COLLECT SUCH ASSESSMENTS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, on July 10, 2000, voters in the Seaport Centre Maintenance District <br />(the "District ") approved, by a vote of 100% yes to 0% no, the levy of a special tax, the <br />amount of such tax to be annually adjusted under the 5 -year budget as specified in the <br />City Manager's and City Engineer's Reports, heretofore approved by Resolution No. <br />13904 adopted May 22, 2000 on each non - exempt parcel of land in the district; and <br />WHEREAS, the maximum benefit assessment for fiscal year 2003 -2004 is <br />$271,033.46 per parcel; and <br />WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br />Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully requests <br />and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax <br />assessments in the County tax bills for the fiscal year 2003 -2004 in accordance with <br />the documents supplied by the District and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax <br />FATTY /RESO /RESO.1425 1 <br />08/27/03 <br />
