Caldomia 94107 <br />415.243.2150 <br />FAX 415 - 696.0999 <br />Kennedy /Jenks Consultants is pleased to submit this proposal for construction support services <br />associated with the Highway 101 Bike Path Recycled Water Transmission Pipeline. The proposed <br />services are a continuation of the design work described in the following documents: <br />• Pre - design proposal dated 21 January 2002, authorized under Task Order No. 1 dated January 28, <br />2002 <br />• Final design proposal dated 4 March 2002, authorized under Task Order No. 3 dated March 26, 2002 <br />• Technical Memorandum dated 20 February 2002 <br />• Final drawings and specifications dated May 2002 <br />We understand that this proposal for construction support services may be authorized via a new Task <br />Order No. 5 to our existing Agreement for Professional Consulting Engineering Services — Water <br />Recycling Feasibility Study with the City of Redwood City, dated 18 July 2001. <br />The facilities under construction include approximately 1,800 meters (6,000 feet) of 24- inch - diameter <br />pipeline to be located within a bike path right -of -way extending from Skyway Road in San Carlos to <br />Whipple Avenue in Redwood City. The bike path and pipeline are being constructed as part of a <br />Califomia Department of Transportation (Caltrans) project that is currently underway and expected to be <br />completed by October 2003. The construction has progressed to approximately station 0+300. <br />The following presents our proposed scope of services and the associated budget estimate for doing the <br />remaining construction support services. <br />Scope of Work <br />The construction support services will focus on working with the City, Caltrans <br />and the contractor in the field and office with respect to the construction of the <br />recycled water pipeline. It is our understanding that the remaining pipeline <br />construction and testing activities will require 30 days of onsite construction and <br />
