3. 1 0-0 <br />Mr. Peter Ingram <br />Redwood City Public Works Department <br />28 August 2003 <br />Page 2 <br />Kennedy /Jenks consukants <br />testing support over the next eight weeks. Kennedy /Jenks will perform the <br />following services: <br />• Attend an orientation meeting with the City and Caltrans representatives to <br />review the status of the project; <br />• Attend up to two additional 2 -hour meetings with Redwood City staff to <br />discuss construction progress and related issues; <br />• Review a maximum of fifteen (15) contractor submittals and resubmittals for <br />substantial conformity with the pipeline plans and specifications; <br />• Respond to a maximum of fifteen (15) Requests for Information from the <br />contractor or from Caltrans concerning clarification of the pipeline plans and <br />specifications; <br />• Assist Caltrans with up to three (3) pipeline related change orders; <br />• Review up to three (3) requests for payment from Caltrans and/or the <br />contractor. <br />• Review project construction for conformance with the plans and <br />specifications through a maximum of thirty (30) site visits, that are <br />anticipated to require an average of 5 hours per site visit; <br />• Observe testing of the pipeline and conduct one final site visit during final <br />acceptance of the pipeline; and <br />• Prepare record drawings of our work from marked -up drawings provided by <br />Caltrans and the contractor. <br />Schedule <br />It is anticipated that the pipeline related portions of the construction project will <br />be completed by 17 October 2003. <br />Budget <br />We propose a budget of $ 71,500 be established for this work. There is <br />approximately $8,000 available under the approved budget for Task Order No. 3 <br />that can be used for construction services; thus, the overall adjustment to the <br />Agreement under the proposed Task Order No. 5 is $63,500.00. Payment would <br />be on a reimbursable basis, for hours and direct costs expended, in accordance <br />with our existing agreement and in accordance with our Schedule of Charges <br />dated I January 2003.
