Any action at law or in equity brought by any of <br /> the Parties for the purpose of enforcing a right or rights provided for or by this Agreement <br /> will be tried in a court of competent jurisdiction in the County of San Mateo, State of <br /> California, and the Parties waive all provisions of law providing for a change of venue in <br /> these proceedings to any other county. <br /> 13. Litigation Support. City and Fire JPA will make its respective designated <br /> Officer available to testify in any litigation or administrative hearing which occurs <br /> following the termination of this Agreement. City and Fire JPA shall compensate each <br /> respective entity for costs and expenses incurred by the designated Officer's preparation, <br /> travel, and testimony in such matters at the employee's then current hourly rate of <br /> compensation, unless such litigation or administrative matter is brought by City or Fire <br /> JPA or is based solely on allegations of City or Fire JPA's negligent performance or <br /> wrongdoing. <br /> 14. Severability. If any term or portion of this Agreement is held to be invalid, <br /> illegal, or otherwise unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining <br /> provisions of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. <br /> 15. General Compliance with Laws.
