Mixed Use Corridor-Streetcar Broadwav (MUC-SB): Purpose <br /> Broadwav in Downtown Redwood Citv is known for its historic buildin�s <br /> and events in Courthouse Sauare that create a livelv and stimulatin� <br /> . , <br /> atmosphere. The purposes of the MUC-SB sub-district are to: <br /> i. Continue the vibrancv of Broadwav headin� toward Woodside <br /> Road outside of the Downtown Precise Plan area. <br /> ii. Connect the maior emplovment districts of Downtown and South <br /> Broadwav and enhance mobilitv for pedestrians, transit riders. <br /> bicyclists, and drivers. <br /> iii. Provide opportunities for residential, commercial, and mixed-use <br /> development at intensities that could support a potential <br /> streetcar line. <br /> iv. Facilitate the transition of the corridor from an auto-oriented <br /> commercial strip to a comprehensive multiuse corridor <br /> complementarv to Downtown. <br /> v. Ensure that new construction is respectful of existin� historic <br /> structures in terms of scale� design� and transition. <br />
