New Streets and Pathwavs Re�ulations Aaalicable to all Sub-Districts <br /> 1. New Streets. Sites in excess of one acre shall be desi�ned to provide block and <br /> street patterns consistent with the adiacent properties and/or surroundin� <br /> . � . . <br /> contextual environment. New streets shall establish a pedestrian-friendlv <br /> interconnected street network, with no block face exceedin�400 feet in len�th. <br /> 2. Street and Pathwav Connectivitv. New development shall maintain and enhance <br /> edestrian, bicvcle, transit, and vehicle connectivitv with a hierarchv of streets <br /> and pathwavs, consistent with the street tvpolo�v identified in the Redwood Citv <br /> General Plan (Fi�ure BE-14). A svstem of pedestrian walkwavs shall connect all <br /> buildin�s on a site to each other, to on-site automobile and bicvcle <br /> arkin� areas, and to anv on-site open space areas and pedestrian <br /> amenities. <br /> b. Internal Pedestrian Walkwavs Width. Internal walkwavs shall be a <br /> minimum of six feet wide where located adiacent to anv common open <br /> space areas. Internal walkwavs elsewhere on the propertv shall be a <br /> minimum of four feet wide and paved with permeable materials, unless <br /> walkwavs are located near swimmin� pools or in heavilv trafficked areas. <br /> c. Li�htin�. Li�htin� shall be incorporated alon� sidewalks or other <br /> edestrian walkwavs to enhance the pedestrian environment and <br /> rovide for public safetv.
