Oaen Saace Re�ulations Aaalicable to all Sub-Districts <br /> 1. Residential Open Space Reauired. Outdoor recreation and leisure space shall be <br /> rovided for each residential-onlv or mixed-use proiect containin� residential <br /> uses. <br /> 2. General Residential Open Space Reauirements. <br /> a. Minimum open space reauired. The reauired minimum amount of open <br /> space shall be 125 sauare feet per unit. The minimum open space mav be <br /> met throu�h a combination of private, common, auasi-public, and/or <br /> ublic open space provided on-site. <br /> b. Usable open space. All reauired open space shall be usable. Usable open <br /> space shall be improved to support residents' passive or active use. Such <br /> open space shall be located on the same parcel as the dwellin� units for <br /> which it is reauired. The computation of such open space shall include no <br /> obstructions other than devices and structures designed to enhance its <br /> usabilitv. such as swimmin� pools, chan�in� facilities, fountains, planters. <br /> benches, and landscapin�. <br /> c. Open space location. Usable open space does not need to be located on <br /> the �round. Rooftop �ardens and rooftop landscapin�, includin� rooftops <br /> above parkin� structures, mav be used to satisfv the open space <br /> reauirement. The reauirement for open space shall not be satisfied <br /> th rou�h the uti I ization of rea u i red setbacks, pa rki n� a reas, d rivewavs, or <br /> service areas. Areas designed to accommodate stormwater retention <br /> mav satisfv a portion of the reauirement for open space if additional <br /> edestrian amenities are provided near the space in a manner that <br /> fosters usabilitv. Compliance with this reauirement shall be evaluated bv <br /> the responsible review authoritv in the review process. <br /> d. Public and Quasi-Public open space. Reauired open space mav be <br /> desi�ned so as to be accessible to the public, in addition to residents of a <br />
