All mechanical and air conditionin� eauipment shall be <br /> shielded and screened from view from adiacent streets and <br /> roperties. The screenin� shall be inte�rated architecturallv with <br /> the buildin�. <br /> 1) Ground-mounted eauipment. Ground-mounted <br /> eauipment screenin� shall consist of a solid wall, solid <br /> fence, or sufficient landscapin�, and site lavout dependent <br /> on the site, land use, and zoning district. Otherwise, such <br /> eauipment shall be enclosed in a buildin�. Transformers <br /> between a buildin�and the street shall be under�round. <br /> 2) Roof-mounted eauipment. Aparoariate buildin� massin�. <br /> as well as roof screens and/or parapet walls desi�ned to <br /> incorporate the architectural stvle of the buildin�, shall <br /> form a complete screen of all roof-top eauipment. Roof- <br /> mounted eauipment shall be set back from buildin� roof <br /> ed�e to minimize view of eauipment from adiacent streets <br /> and properties. <br /> 3) Facade installed eauipment. Eauipment installed on the <br /> facade visible from the public ri�ht-of-wav shall be <br /> minimized in visual prominence, incorporated inside the <br /> buildin� wall, or located out of public view. Exposed <br /> electrical conduit is not permitted and shall be run inside <br /> buildin� walls. If pre-existin�, exposed conduit shall be <br /> concealed and at minimum painted to match the buildin�. <br /> ii. Bafflin�. All mechanical eauipment shall be baffled to reduce <br /> sound to levels consistent with Chapter 24 (Noise Re�ulation) of <br /> the Municipal Code. <br /> iii. Location. Mechanical eauipment shall not be located in reauired <br /> va rd setback a reas. <br /> � <br /> c. Trash and Recvclin� Enclosures. Trash enclosures, recvclin� area <br /> enclosures� or trash rooms shall be covered to protect from the <br /> elements, and completelv screened from the view of anv public ri�ht-of- <br /> wav. Where trash and recvclin� enclosures are provided, enclosures <br /> must be accommodated completelv within the propertv lines, and the <br /> materials used shall match those of the buildings. <br />
