Based upon the bids <br /> received, staff believes that the low bid of $1,415,000.00 is reasonable and <br /> recommends awarding the contract to C.F. Archibald Paving, Inc. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> Council may choose not to award the contract which could result in the forfeiture of STP <br /> federal grant funding. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Funds for Street Pavement Management Programs have been previously approved and <br /> appropriated as State Prop 42 with an available balance of $3,543.20, Transportation <br /> Fund (Measure A) with an available balance of $1,494,598.62, and Various <br /> Transportation Grants with an available balance of $551,625.67. Balances are <br /> preliminary as of April 30, 2011. Staff has requested mid-year amendment to the <br /> Various Transportation Grant fund that will increase the available balance by <br /> $946,000.00. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br /> As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the 2010-2011 Street <br /> Overlay Project (East Bayshore - �/eterans) Project meets the CEQA exemption criteria <br /> as set forth in Section 15302, ("Replacement or Reconstruction").
