<br />51 ß'I <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the Cit Mana er <br /> <br />January 10, 2005 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Amendment #2 to the Agreement between the City of the Redwood City and the Redwood City <br />School District for After School Program Services. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Approve by motion and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment #2 to the Agreement <br />dated September 8, 2003 for After School Program Services that the Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services provides. The Amendment would allow payment to the City from the <br />Redwood City School District in an amount of $257,917. <br /> <br />Background <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department provides recreation and <br />enrichment activities to approximately 700 children at eight after-school sites in Redwood City. <br />We bill the Redwood City School District for staffing, supplies, coordination, etc. and are <br />reimbursed from 21st Century grant funds. <br /> <br />This Amendment was generated to extend the agreement through the 2004-2005 school year, <br />to include the new after-school program at Roosevelt School, and to amend the amount of <br />money owed to the City for operational expenses of the program. <br /> <br />Fiscal Impact <br />There is no impact to the City's general fund, as we will receive $257,917 from the School <br />District the 21 st Century Grant Fund) which will pay for the costs of our program during the <br />year <br /> <br /> <br />Chris opher Beth <br />Recreation & Community <br />Superintendent <br /> <br />
