� ��-z <br /> MOTION OF 7HE CITY COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CiTY <br /> The City Council hereby approves the decision of the Zoning Administrator granting the <br /> issuance of an Architectural Permit and Use Permit for the installation of wireless <br /> communication facilities at 2325 Euclid Avenue. <br /> Findings <br /> The City of Redwood City has adopted Article 38, Wireless Communications Facilities, of <br /> • the Zoning Code, the stated purpose being: <br /> To allow wireless communication facilities which provide for the personal <br /> communications needs of residents of the City and region, and of local <br /> business and government, while minimizing adverse visual and operational <br /> effects of such facilities through appropriate design, siting and screening. <br /> Article 38.2 permits the siting of such facilities for personal, non-commercial <br /> uses in RH, R-1, R-2, RG, R-3, R-4 and R-5 zoning districts. Wireless <br /> communication facilities for commercial purposes are prohibited in said <br /> districts, except as may be located upon privately-owned property used <br /> solely for public or quasi-public use. <br /> The property located at 2325 Euclid Avenue falls within the quasi-public use <br /> definition pursuant to Section 2.83 of the Zoning Code of the City of Redwood City, <br /> as the First Congregational Church is located thereupon. This site has been <br /> previously approved for wireless communication facilities pursuant to Use Permit <br /> 62-01 and Architectural Permit 63-01. <br /> On February 28, 2005, the City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing on <br /> the appeal from the Zoning Administrator's approval of an architectural and use <br /> permit installation of a wireless communication facility to be located at 2325 Euclid <br /> Avenue, Redwood City. Following the closure of the hearing, the matter was <br /> continued by the City Council to April 25, 2005. On said date, the City Council <br /> continued its deliberations, re-opened the public hearing, and took testimony <br /> regarding the matter. Upon the conclusion of the public hearing, and subject to <br /> written findings being prepared, submitted and approved by the City Council, the <br /> appeal of the decision of the Zoning Administrator to issue an architectural permit <br /> and a use permit (Notice of Official Action, November 5, 2004) was denied and the <br /> issuance of said permits as requested was approved. <br /> In reviewing the appeal of the approval of the requested architectural and use <br /> permits, this City Council reviewed and considered the written record presented to it <br /> and all of the staff and public comments made in support of and opposed to the <br /> appeal. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MOVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood <br /> City, and hereby adopts as its own and incorporates by reference herein, as though <br /> fully set forth, the findings made by the Zoning Administrator in the Notice of Official <br /> Action, dated November 5, 2004, and finds that: <br /> Atty/Agenda Reports/ZA Appeal 2325 Euclid 2 <br /> � . -- <br />
