6.1.13. - Page 28 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION (SEIU) LOCAL 521 <br />ECONOMIC SUMMARY: <br />TERM: February 1, 2011 - January 31, 2014 <br />SALARY: <br />Year 1 : No change <br />Year 2 Effective the first full pay period that includes February 1, 2012, three percent <br />(3 %) increase to salary <br />Year 3: Effective the first full pay period that includes February 1, 2013, three percent <br />(3 %) increase to salary <br />HEALTH & WELFARE: <br />Medical Limited to PEMHCA minimum monthly employer contribution (currently $108 <br />per month) <br />Cafeteria Plan Effective January 1, 2012, City contribution to the cafeteria plan will be: <br />• A maximum of ninety -five percent (95 %) of actual cost of coverage, up to a <br />maximum of ninety -five percent (95 %) of Kaiser family rate, plus <br />• A maximum of ninety -five percent (95 %) of actual cost of coverage for dental <br />and vision coverage, minus <br />• PEMHCA minimum monthly employer contribution <br />Dental: extend coverage to include $2000 lifetime cap for orthodonture <br />City Contributions to Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA/DCAA): Effective January 1, <br />2012, the City will discontinue contributions to flexible spending accounts on behalf of <br />workers. <br />Cash Payments: Effective January 1, 2012, the City will discontinue cash payments to <br />workers for opting out of medical coverage. <br />WASTEWATER EMPLOYEES <br />Wastewater workers will be reclassified into new job classifications with wastewater job <br />duties and new certification requirements. Workers in these classifications will be <br />required to obtain the above certifications by January 1, 2013 Effective the first full pay <br />period following ratification and adoption of the agreement, salary schedules for these <br />job classifications will be increased by one percent (1 %) to reflect the new certification <br />requirements.
