<br /> 5.1G <br /> Page 4 <br />AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />Jonathan Wright <br />Worksite Organizer <br />Service Employees International Union, Local 715 <br />Subject: Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding <br />Jonathan: <br />This document shall serve as an amendment to the 2004-2008 Memorandum of Understanding <br />between the City of Redwood City and the Service Employeelj International Union I Local 715. In <br />a side letter executed after the conclusion of negotiations, the parties agreed to explore <br />certification incentive pay for unit members who acquire certifications or licenses not required by <br />job description or mandated by law. The parties agree to the following certification pay programs: <br />Automotive Service Excellence Certifications for Fleet Division Employees <br />1 %.7% of base salary for employees In the classifications of Equipment Service Worker, <br />Equipment Mechanic I and II, lead Equipment Mechanic, and Equipment Operations leader <br />under the terms specified in Appendix A. <br />CWEA Certification for Wastewater Division Employees <br />Fixed amount payments of $500-$2000 for Wastewater Division employees in the classifications <br />of Public Works Maintenance Worker I-III, lead Public Works Maintenance Worker, and Utility <br />Specialist, for obtaining andlor renewing certifications under the terms described in Appendix B. <br />This agreement will be effective the first full pay period after the amendment is approved by <br />Council and signed and executed by Human Resources and SEIU. <br />If the forgoing is in confonnance with your understanding, please indicate your approval and <br />acceptance in the space provided below. <br />APPROVED AND ACCEPTED Very Truly Yours, <br />SEIU LOCAL 715 CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />By: By: <br />Jonathan Wright, Worksite Organizer Robert Bell, HR Director <br />Date: Date: <br /> -- <br />
