Economic Development Projecfs and Programs <br /> The Agency's on-going economic development activities to improve the business climate of the <br /> Project Area will include: <br /> ■ General economic development activities including providing resources for the <br /> development of the economic element to the general plan update; updating the <br /> economic development strategy; planning activities for a property based improvement <br /> district; and funding support for signature events in the downtown. <br /> ■ Expansion and restructuring of the storefront improvement program to provide design <br /> assistance and image/marketing assistance to storeowners. <br /> ■ Assistance with assembling development sites for residential and commercial projects. <br /> ■ Develop programs for attracting new businesses. <br /> ■ Support business expansion and retention efforts. <br /> ■ Assistance to commercial development projects as opportunities arise. <br /> 3. Adminisfration and Planning <br /> The administration and planning activities of the Agency cover on-going operations of the <br /> Agency as well as feasibility and planning studies, redevelopment plan adoptions and <br /> amendments, and other administrative and planning activities necessary to implement the - <br /> Redevelopment Plan.
