 t$138,000 this coming fiscat year.
The County Flood Control District plans to introduce the proposed fees and set the public
hearing at the June 29, 2004 Board of Supervisors meeting with the subsequent public
hearing tentatively scheduled for July 27, 2004. This resolution authorizing the County Flood
Control District to impose fees on parcels within Redwood Ciry limits must be adopted by the
June 29, 2004 Board of Supervisors.
Alternative
The Ciry couid chose to fund the program through some source of city funds rathet than
through fees on parcels assessment within city limits, which would result in a fiscal impact on
the City budget.
Fiscal Impact
The total cost to support the NPDES program would have no fiscal impact on City revenues,
as currently proposed, provided the City meets the schedule set forth by the County.
However, a fiscal impact would result, if the city misses the deadline for authorizing the
charges. Missing the deadline would mean that the City could not be included in the
collection of the fees on parcels and would then be held responsible for the cost that C/CAG
incurs to exclude Redwood City and recalculate the fees for the "fees report" to the County
Assessor.

i %
 '
Marilyri W.
