■ l ■ � o e � <br /> �•A-3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> � <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OF THE <br /> CONSOLI��ATED PLAN (2000-2005) AND APPLICATION FOR <br /> FEDERAL 4SSISTANCE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br /> CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br /> CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2004 — 2005) <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program authorized <br /> pursuant to Title I of the Housirg and Community Development Act of 974 (P.L. 93- <br /> 383), as amended ("the AcY'), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop <br /> a Consolidated Plan and rovide for the issuance of rants in order to attain the <br /> P 9 <br /> objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br /> W and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, an <br /> Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan (the "Action Plan") and an application to <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br /> Development Biock Grant (the "Application") in the amount of approximately Eight <br /> Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($885,000) and HOME Investment Partnership <br /> funds in the amount of Four Hundred Sixty-two Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty-two <br /> Dollars ($462,282) for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Manager a Notice of <br /> Determination determining that the proposed Community Development Block Grant <br /> ,`. <br /> Program and approval of the Consolidated Plan, as set forth in the Application, is <br /> Atty/Reso/Reso.1457 � � <br /> 040104 <br />
