A significant percentage c.! contracts are granted to minority and Female <br /> Owned Businesses. <br /> 3. Owners have recruited low-income tenants who are eligible to occupy <br /> available units. <br /> 4. Owners and contractors have documented their outreach efforts. <br /> 5. Owners have notified the City of each and every vacancy in their property, <br /> which was rehabilitated or constructed with HOME funds. <br /> ■ Where noncompliance of any of these provisions is found, the City wiil require <br /> and assist the owner to re-evaluate their affirmative marketing strategy and may <br /> withhold funds until such time as a satisfactory effort has been made on the part <br /> of the owner or contractor to meet these requirements. The City will require <br /> compliance with the conditions of its affirmative marketing requirements and <br /> procedures adopted in the nondiscrimination policy by means of an agreement <br /> with the owner. The agreement shall be applicable for a period of affordability <br /> required by HOME regulations, beginning on the date on which all units in the <br /> -�- project are completed. <br /> ■ Presentations will also be made to Board of Realtors and Tri-County Apartment <br /> Association and other such entities which may yield new projects. <br /> • Presentations to service providers, including those providing homeless services <br /> and job training to promote self-sufficiency. <br /> I • S ecific marketin to contractors will <br /> P g be accom lished b the followin methods: <br /> P <br /> Y 9 <br /> • Posting notices in local Buildin De artments. <br /> 9 P <br /> • Posting notices at Builders Exchange and union clearing houses. <br /> • Posting notices at o�ces of minori contractor exchan es. <br /> tY 9 <br /> • Posting ads in specific newspapers most widely read by contractors. <br /> • Posting ads at various builders supply outlets. <br /> � <br /> 5 <br />
