He said Abbott is very excited about the project <br /> and they feel they can offer a lot of good things for the City and for the site area. He <br /> said there will be a permanent new place for Perclose. They will be improving the public <br /> access for the public in compliance with BCDC and the Planning Staff. Mr. Kremer <br /> introduced some of the team members that were present to answer any questions that <br /> may arise: Deborah Helkowski (management staff at Perclose); Sandy Sloan (Abbott <br /> Legal Consultant); Mindie Romanowsky, Dennis Schmidt, John Thiel, Dennis Strucker, <br /> Todd Adair and Chuck Humpel (architectural team), and Adrienne Tissier from Bay Area <br /> Relations. <br /> Mr. Thiel, Architect gave a brief review of the project, focusing on the Bayfront Access <br /> part of the project. He wanted to point out that he is working with staff and will have a <br /> more detailed presentation at the next scheduled Planning Commission meeting. <br /> Ms. Sandy Sloan, Attorney for Abbott Laboratories, made the foliowing comments to <br /> supplement her letter that was in the Planning Commission Packet, regarding the Zoning <br /> Text Amendment, regarding Circie Page 17 (Staff Report, last page), and said she felt <br /> the staff's recommendation is too narrow, and gave the following reasons: <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br />
