On May 19, 2003 the City Council approved <br /> the contract docum�nts and specifications and awarded the contract to Consolidated <br /> Consortium Corp. (CC Corp), in the amount of $468,167.00. The contract was terminated <br /> on March 31, 2004. The contract was 74.8% complete. The breakdown of contract <br /> expenditures were: <br /> �` Finai Contract Amount <br /> OriginaiContractAmount $468,167.00 <br /> Completed contract work - $350.088.59 (74.8%) <br /> CIP balance retained $ 118,078.41 <br /> The contractor pertormed sidewalk repairs at all locations where sidewalk defects <br /> exceeded one-inch in deviation. Wheel chair ramps were constructed at all comers within <br /> the project area. <br /> All repairs were made with the retention of existing healthy street trees as the primary <br /> focus. In many instances, the repairs could not have been successfully made in the limited <br /> public right-of-way space available. In order to provide adequate space between the tree <br /> and newly constructed sidewalk, sidewalk maintenance easements were granted by some <br /> property owners to allow the public sidewalk to be placed on private property.
