.C-2
Alternative
Not to approve the picnic reservations rates and keep the current system of a first come first
serve basis and charge no fees.
Fiscallmpact -
79 tables (including 3 tot tables) have been identified for picnic reservations at the eight parks
recommended. The proposed rental dates from March 1 to October 31 each year comprise
70 available weekend dates for reservations. Assuming a reservation charge of $10 per table
per weekend day and expecting 20% capacity we are estimating revenue of about $11,060,
which will offset the expense of this program.
We estimate annual costs of staff time to administer the program of $9,844. In addition, there
will be start up costs for new signage and marketing materials to advertise the change in our
reservation policy to the public of approximately $3,000.

  . , --
- - Christopher Beth Corinne Centeno Ed Everett
Superintendent, Recreation Director, Parks, Recreation City Manager
and Community Services and Community Services
Attachment
Attachment A: Picnic Reservation Comparison
Attachment B: Rates
