<br /> 1. 6Jt . <br /> . <br /> REDWOOD CITY RECYCLED WATER PROJECT <br /> AGREEMENT FOR PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY OF RECYCLED WATER <br /> SUMMARY - PRINCIPLES OF AGREEMENT <br /> Revised June 7, 2004 <br /> SBSA and City staff and consultants have been developing thE:. core concepts and principles for the <br /> Redwood City Recycled Water Project for the past two years. fmajor element of the program will <br /> be the Agreement between the City and SBSA defining roles, responsibilities and establishing <br /> procedures for managing the design and construction of project facilities located at SBSA, and <br /> providing the methodology for capital cost reimbursement, as well as on-going operational cost <br /> allocation and budgeting. <br /> Design of Facilities SBSA responsible for design and construction of the treatment <br /> process improvements, as well as disinfection, storage and <br /> pumping facilities located on SBSA property. City responsible for <br /> design of transmission & distribution pipelines, customer service <br /> laterals & meters, and customer site retrofits. <br /> Permits SBSA and City will jointly apply for permits from Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board and DOHS. <br /> SBSA obtains construction permits for SBSA constructed facilities, <br /> Cit responsible for all City constructed facilities. <br /> Contract Award City approval required for SBSA action to award design and <br /> construction contracts. <br /> Construction Management SBSA responsible for construction management for all constructed <br /> facilities on SBSA property, irrespective of operational responsibility <br /> or ownership) <br /> Facility Acceptance SBSA will accept and file Notice of Completion for SBSA <br /> constructed facilities in accordance with SBSA standard <br /> construction document procedures. <br /> Ownership of Facilities SBSA will retain ownership of constructed improvements for <br /> chemical addition, filtration, and piping up to the <br /> disinfection/storage/ pumping facility (and the City's share of equity <br /> in the SBSA JPA will increase). <br /> SBSA will transfer ownership to City for the <br /> disinfection/storage/pumping facilities upon completion of <br /> construction and acceptance by the City. <br /> Operation SBSA responsible for the operation and production of recycled <br /> water up to the Point of Delivery (where the title to the water <br /> transfers to City). City responsible for the operation and <br /> maintenance of storage/pumping facilities. <br /> Production Rate SBSA influent in Gallons Per Minute less 1,400 GPM ("Net <br /> Influent"), but never to exceed 9,000 GPM <br /> 1 of 2 <br />
