<br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY fo.2A-25 <br /> TREE MAINTENANCE WORKER I-II <br /> Clean and maintain climbing and trimming equipment. <br /> Plant, stake and spray trees. <br /> Operate chipper and drive trucks. <br /> Perform related duties as assigned. <br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Knowledae of: <br /> <br /> Materjals, equjpment, and methods used in the trimmjng and removal of <br /> trees. <br /> Tree planting and maintenance methods. <br /> Safe work practices. <br /> Ability to: <br /> <br /> Operate a variety of park maintenance equipment. <br /> Use hand and power tools skillfully and safely. <br /> Check and recognize defects in trimming equipment. <br /> Climb with rope and saddle to perform an aerial rescue and prune small scale <br /> trees. <br /> Understand and carry out both oral and written directions. <br /> Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the <br /> performance of required duties. <br /> Physical Characteristics: <br /> <br /> Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, work outside in varying climatic <br /> conditions and climb trees. <br /> Experience and Education: <br /> Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the <br /> required knowledge and abilities are qualifying.
