<br /> (n.2 A '2JJ; . . <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> TREE MAINTENANCE WORKER I-II <br /> Experience: <br /> <br /> One year of work experience involving tree maintenance work <br /> including St'm~ tree trimming and some climbing experience. <br /> Education: <br /> Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by <br /> specialized training in tree care work. <br /> License or Certificate: <br /> Possession of, or ability to obtajn, an approprjate, valjd California Driver's <br /> license. <br /> ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> In addition to the qualifications for Tree Maintenance Worker I, the" level class <br /> requires proficiency in the following: <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> <br /> Tree diseases and pests and proper methods for their eradication. <br /> Ability to: <br /> <br /> Perform unskilled and semi-skilled tree maintenance work. <br /> Work safely and effectively in trees of all sizes. <br /> Check and recognize defects in tree climbing and trimming equipment. <br /> Assist in the supervision and training of less experienced personnel. <br /> Experience and Education: <br /> Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the <br /> required knowledge and abilities are qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br /> knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> Experience: <br /> <br /> Three years of work experience involving tree maintenance work and <br /> high climbing comparable to that of Tree Maintenance Worker I in the <br /> City of Redwood City. <br /> 3 <br />
