<br />E. Vice Mayor Foust - thanked City Manager Everett for having appointed CDS <br />Director Ingram who is a wonderful asset. She announced the "Save the Music" <br />annual fund raiser for the Belmont/Redwood Shores Education Foundation that is <br />also scheduled for October 15 urging Council Members to shuttle between the <br />downtown festivities and the music and kayak races at Twin Dolphin Drive from <br />11-5. She thanked Council Member Bain for attending the CERT training and <br />reaching out to the neighborhood associations. She also presented Mayor Pierce <br />with a Certificate of Completion plaque and pin for completing the requirements of <br />the Advanced Leadership Academy for the League of California Cities. <br /> <br />F. Council Member Ira - announced that the 1ih Annual Trivia Bee would be held <br />on October 13 at Canada College beginning at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />G. Mayor Pierce - stated that October 7 had multiple events with the model ferry <br />demonstration, 100 volunteers with parents at schools cleaning up and planting <br />gardens, Council Members attended the San Mateo County History Museum <br />Columbus Day celebration and fund raiser and participated in the celebrity bocce <br />ball tournament. The last public outreach workshop for the Peninsula Park project <br />proposal is October 11 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center and a Planning <br />Commission study session is scheduled for October 17 in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />H. City Manager Everett - announced that the Community Builders series begins in <br />November and sign-ups can be taken over the telephone or e-mail. After two <br />highly successful series he encouraged the community to visit the website for <br />information. <br /> <br />10.
