Approval3�Construction Documents. . <br /> — A. A1�design documents and construction contracts shall be submitted to the City and <br /> Rgency focreview and approval in accordance with the Schedule of Perfortnance attached as <br /> Attactlitis�t 4 to the DDA, and shall be in accordance with the City's revised specificatio�s entitled <br /> "Engineering Standards of the City of Redwood City," adopted January 5, 1998 which standards <br /> are on file in the office of the Manager, Engineering and Construction Department. The Public <br /> Parking Facility shali also be constructed in strict compliance with the provisions of ArtiGe VII, <br /> Chapter 29 of the Code of the City of Redwood City. Developer shall use commercially reasonable efforts to cause all of the Work to be Ma�e�vaw.n <br /> completed in accordance with the Schedule of Performance, subject to such exceptions and time <br /> extensions allowable under Section 3 below; <br /> C�. Developer shall have all construdion documents for the Public Parking Facility processed _...--- odeeea: e <br /> through to all agencies with jurisdiction prior to commencement of construction. <br /> 2. Award of Contracts for Construction. ' <br /> A. Developer shall obtain at least three (3) competitive bids for each construction trade <br /> or discipline invotved in construction of the Public Parking Facility in general conformance with the <br /> City of Redwood City's procurement requirements, or, if Developer cannot obtain three bids after <br /> diligent efforts to do so, Developer shali othervvise satisfy City and Agency that the price for a <br /> particular trade or discipline is fair and reasonable. Developer shall provide City and Agency with <br /> copies of any and all bids promptly upon written request. <br /> B. As provided in Attachment 8 of the DDA, the Parking Facility Cost will be based on <br /> the lowest responsive, responsible bids received. If Developer, City and Agency wish to accept a <br /> bid other than the lowest responsive, responsible bid for any part of the Public Parkin4 Facilitv, <br /> Geveloper shall be responsible for identifying cost savings acceptable to the City and Agency to <br /> offset the costs- <br /> C. Upon receipt of bids for the construction of the Public Parking Facility, the total value <br /> of the lowest responsive, responsible bids will be compared with the Not-to-Exceed Parking Facility <br /> Cost If the total of these bids causes the Parking Facility Cost to exceeds the amount set forth in F�aMea: Fa,c: s a <br /> �.
