<br />~ /E - / <br /> <br />REPORT <br /> <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the Cit Mana er <br /> <br />June 20, 2005 <br /> <br />Subject <br />Amendment #1 to the Agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Redwood City <br />School District for After School Program services (District providing services). <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Approve by motion and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment #1 to the Agreement <br />dated December 7, 2004 for After School Program services and academic support that the <br />Redwood City School District provides. <br /> <br />Background <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department operates After School Learning <br />Centers at eight school sites in Redwood City and the North Fair Oaks Area in partnership with <br />the Redwood City School District. Services include after school tutoring, recreation and <br />enrichment programming, life skills education and family education opportunities. Programs <br />have been well received and evaluations indicate improved academic achievement for <br />particip::lting students. <br /> <br />This amendment extends the existing agreement until June 30, 2006; and provides funding for <br />the extension period.
