<br />6:/.E-Z <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO.1 TO EXTEND AND AMEND AGREEMENT FOR <br />- AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM SERVICES <br /> <br />(CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT) <br />(DISTRICT PROVIDING SERVICES) <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />This Amendment No.1 is entered into and effective as of the - day of June, <br />2005, extending and amending the Agreement dated December 7, 2004 (the <br />"Agreement") by and between the City of Redwood City, a charter city and municipal. <br />corporation of the State of California ("City"), and the Redwood City School. District <br />("District") (collectively, the "Parties") for providing teachers and/or teacher aides, <br />academic and administrative support, classroom space and transportation services to <br />the after school program services. . <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. The Parties have negotiated and agreed to extend the Agreement for a <br />period of one (1) year, from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006, at a not-to-exceed amount of <br />One Hundred Thirty-One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollar~ ($131,477). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the recital and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Agreement will be extended for a period of one (1) year from July 1, <br />2005 to June 30, 2006. <br /> <br />2. The City will pay the District a not-to-exceed amount of One Hundred <br />Thirty-One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($131,477) using funds <br />received by the Safe Before and After School State Grant (the "Grant"). District <br />acknowledges that the Agreement may b6 terminated or the scope of work reduced <br />should the entire Grant amount not be received. District further acknowledges that by <br />signing this amendment, City is not pledging any of its own funds for the support of the <br />services contemplated by the Agreement. <br /> <br />3, All other provisions of the Agreement, as may have been amended from <br />time to time, will remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />4.
