c. Mixed Use Corridor - Redwood Creek (MUC -RC): Purpose <br /> Redwood Creek is a significant visual and environmental resource that <br /> flows through Redwood City. The purposes of the MUC -RC sub - district <br /> are to: <br /> i. Reorient development towards Redwood Creek to feature this <br /> natural amenity while also providing for active and engaging <br /> street frontage along Main Street. Walnut Street, and Veterans <br /> Boulevard. <br /> ii. Encourage development that fosters a linkage between <br /> Downtown and the bayfront area via Redwood Creek. <br /> iii. Provide opportunities for residential and nonresidential uses in <br /> close proximity to transit, the San Francisco Bay, and Redwood <br /> Creek. <br /> iv. Facilitate public access to Redwood Creek. and foster active and <br /> engaging open spaces. <br /> d. Mixed Use Corridor - Streetcar Broadway (MUC -SB): Purpose <br /> Broadway in Downtown Redwood City is known for its historic buildings <br /> and events in Courthouse Square that create a lively and stimulating <br /> atmosphere. The purposes of the MUC -SB sub - district are to: <br /> i. Continue the vibrancy of Broadway heading toward Woodside <br /> Road outside of the Downtown Precise Plan area. <br /> ii. Connect the major employment districts of Downtown and South <br /> Broadway and enhance mobility for pedestrians, transit riders. <br /> bicyclists. and drivers. <br /> iii. Provide opportunities for residential, commercial, and mixed -use <br /> development at intensities that could support a potential <br /> streetcar line. <br /> iv. Facilitate the transition of the corridor from an auto - oriented <br /> commercial strip to a comprehensive multiuse corridor <br /> complementary to Downtown. <br /> v.
