A. City Council Members Reports of Conferences /Meetings Attended. <br /> - Council Member Gee reported on the Ad Hoc Bayfront Collaboration meeting and how <br /> it was well attended and lasted 90- minutes. He is optimistic that the City and the <br /> neighbors will look at a large menu of choices and then come bring those back to the <br /> Council for deliberation. He explained that there will be a lot of sharing of information <br /> and the committee will get together back in June to look at innovative approaches. <br /> Council Member Pierce and Bain also serve on this committee but had no additional <br /> comments. <br /> - Council Member Pierce attended the Silicon Valley Bike Coalition two day conference <br /> and she spoke about two initiatives to get people walking. She also attended the <br /> League of CA Cities conference in Ontario and there was a Redevelopment Alternative <br /> that was presented. She noted a meeting on Thursday April 14 for all the elected <br /> officials of San Mateo County to preview the Bay Plan alternatives. <br /> - Council Member Foust announced another meeting on April 27 from 5 to 8:30 at the <br /> San Mateo County public library. <br /> - Council Member Seybert acknowledged that former Mayor /Council Member Jim <br /> Hartnett was recently appointed to the High Speed Rail Board and this is an honor for <br /> this community and a great asset for our interests. <br /> - Vice Mayor Aguirre reported on attending the Mayors for Meals event and she had a <br /> great time representing the Mayor and City Council. <br /> B. City Manager (Oral) Update. <br /> Dr. Bell reported on a recent presentation to the San Carlos City Council of San Carlos <br /> on the issue of shared fire services. He also announced much progress is being made <br /> on the Electric Charge Stations in Redwood City which will benefit the public. The City <br /> Manager announced the Spring Cleaning event on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and invited all <br /> those interest to participate. <br /> 10.
