6.3.A. - Page 3 <br />IN:910111,49 Eel ki Iki Eel <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS ON <br />HELLER STREET AT THE INTERSECTION WITH PINE STREET <br />WHEREAS, Section 21354 of the California Vehicle Code allows local <br />authorities to designate any intersection under their exclusive jurisdiction as a <br />stop control intersection; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 26.04 Subsection 04, of the Manual of Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices, states the use of Yield or Stop signs should be considered at <br />intersections of two minor streets or local roads where the intersection has more than <br />three approaches and the ability to see conflicting traffic on an approach is not sufficient <br />to allow a road user to stop or yield in compliance with the normal right -of -way rule if <br />such stopping or yielding is necessary; and <br />WHEREAS, City staffs investigation has confirmed the existence of this <br />condition at the intersection of Heller Street and Pine Street, and that traffic operations <br />will benefit from the installation of stop signs on Heller Street at the intersection with <br />Pine Street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
