6.1.E. - Page 3 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the 2010 -2011 Slurry <br />Seal Project meets the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption criteria <br />as set forth in Sections 15301 (Existing Facilities) and 15302 (Replacement or <br />Reconstruction) of the CEQA Regulations because the resurfacing and restriping work <br />consists of the repair, replacement, maintenance and, in some instances, minor <br />alteration of existing public streets involving negligible or no expansion of use. <br />Furthermore, this project has been designed compliant with the city's Engineering <br />Standards and accepted practices. <br />S.
