Powers and Associates (DJP&A) is pleased to present to you this scope of work for the <br /> preparation of an Initial Study (IS) for the proposed residential project �t 1410 Valota Road in the <br /> City of Redwood City. This scope assumes that tl�e project is eligible for a Mitigated Negative <br /> Declaration, meaning that mitigation measures will be included in the project to reduce any identified <br /> significant impacts to a less tl�an significant level. � <br /> PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> It is our understanding that the proposed project would be the demolition of a single-family residence <br /> and the construction of five two-story single-family residences on a 30,014 square foot parcel located <br /> on Valota Road, adjacent to Redwood Creek in the City of Redwood City (APN #059-215-010). <br /> Because we want to provide you with a quality environmental review document that meets your <br /> needs and is compleled as efficiently as possible, this proposal reflects certain assumptions about <br /> when and l�ow the work can be done, and what inforniation and materia] will be provided to us. This <br /> scope, scliedule, aud cost estimate is based on Uie following assumptions: <br /> 1. The applicant will provide us with a complete project clescription, iucludin� the most current <br /> proposed siYe plan that illustrates the building footprints, access, elevations, etc. <br /> 2. No substantial changes occur in the project design or scale after we begin work. "Substantial <br /> changes" would include changes in the building footprints, changes to the building heighYS, <br /> added housing u�iits, or similar revisions that require redoing tl�e analysis of impacts and <br /> revising the document. <br /> 3. The Planning Department does not require any additional substantive technical analyses <br /> which are not already included in this scope of work, nor any substantial changes to the <br /> projec[ or die IS. <br /> Valota Residential Project Page 1 <br />
