EXHIBIT A: SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITIES OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAN CARLOS <br /> FOR FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES <br /> 1. San Carlos Fire Department <br /> The City of San Carlos will hire and maintain a Fire Department with fire fighting <br /> personnel sufficient to deliver emergency and non-emergency services in conjunction with the <br /> management and other services to be provided by Redwood City. Minimum staffing includes two <br /> fully staffed Advanced Life Support (ALS) companies. A fully staffed ALS company means a fire <br /> captain, firefighter paramedic, and firefighter. The San Carlos Fire Department will staff and <br /> maintain Fire Station 13 located at 525 Laurel Street and Fire Station 16 located at 1280 Alameda <br /> de las Pulgas. The City of San Carlos will also hire a Fire Inspector and an Emergency Services <br /> Coordinator. <br /> 2. Redwood City Fire Department <br /> Redwood City will assist the City of San Carlos to provide a full array of fire, emergency <br /> medical, and other emergency and non-emergency services. Such services will include the <br /> following, and as more specifically described below: <br /> � Fire suppression coordination <br /> • Incident command <br /> • Manage fire administration and support <br /> • Emergency Medical Advanced Life Support (ALS) non-transport response <br /> management <br /> • Vehicle and technical rescue coordination <br /> • Manage training and personnel development <br /> • Emergency management <br /> • Code enforcement, plans review, inspections, fire scene investigation, public <br /> education <br /> A. Fire Administration aud Support <br /> Services will include a full array of administrative and support activities to include budget <br /> administration, records management, incident reporting, quarterly data analysis of emergency and <br /> non-emergency activities, personnel administration (i.e. time sheet approval, processing leave <br /> requests, coordination with payroll and the City of San Carlos Human Resources Division as <br /> applicable), cost accounting, and other services necessary to administer a full-service emergency <br /> service system. A Command Staff inember will be available to attend San Carlos City Council <br /> meetings, and represent the City's interests at other meetings regarding emergency response issues <br /> as necessary. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2011.049/SAN CARLOS FIRE <br /> 061611 <br /> 7 <br />
