- ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> Agreement Between the County of San Mateo <br /> and the City of Redwood City <br /> for Fire Protection Services for the Fire Protection Sub-Zone <br /> of San Mateo County Service Area No. 8 <br /> (a portion of the unincorporated North Fair Oaks area) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is made as of this IB'~l day of l~oYatnB~R. ,1997, <br />by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of <br />California, hereinafter referred to as "County", and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "City". <br /> <br /> Witnesseth: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County and the City have previously entered into an agreement <br />whereby the City agreed to provide fire protection services for the territory embraced by the Fire <br />Protection Sub-Zone of San Mateo County Service Area No. 8; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said previous agreement terminated on June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the parties hereto find it is necessary and desirable that the City <br />continue to provide fire protection services within said Fire Protection Sub-Zone: <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms and conditions <br />contained herein, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Definitions. <br /> <br /> (a) Base Fee. "Base Fee" means Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($750.00) when <br /> applied to a call at properties, on streets, or in intersections wholly within the Fire <br /> Protection Sub-Zone; and Three Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars ($375.00) when <br /> applied to a call on streets, or in intersections where a portion of the street or <br /> intersection is within the corporate limits of City and a portion of the street or <br /> intersection is within the Fire Protection Sub-Zone. <br /> <br /> (b) Chargeable Call. "Chargeable Call" means a Code 2 Call or a Code 3 Call within <br /> the Fire Protection Sub-Zone for which Redwood City Fire Department personnel <br /> <br /> 10/21/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
