to: calls which are canceled either en route or upon arrival at the scene; calls which <br /> result in Redwood City Fire Department personnel and equipment being held in a <br /> standby mode and then released without rendering any service; or a Code 3 Call <br /> for which the Response Time was greater than three (3) minutes and thirty (30) <br /> seconds. <br /> <br /> (j) Response Time. "Response Time" means the period of time between the time, in <br /> hours, minutes and seconds, when the Redwood City Fire Department was first <br /> dispatched to a call for assistance in the Fire Protection Sub-Zone and the time, in <br /> hours, minutes and seconds, when fire department assistance first arrived at the site <br /> to which they were dispatched. <br /> <br /> 2. Term of this Agreement. The Term of this Agreement shall be ten (10) years. <br /> <br />The Term of this Agreement shall begin on the Effective Date and end on June 30, 2007, unless it <br />is terminated earlier under the provisions of this Agreement. Any outstanding payments for <br />services provided under this Agreement due on the date this Agreement is terminated shall be paid <br />by the County within thirty (30) days of invoice by the City. <br /> <br /> 3. Scope of Services Provided. In consideration of the payments by the County to <br /> <br />the City as herein provided, the City agrees to furnish fire protection services within the Fire <br />Protection Sub-Zone subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> (a) Said fire protection service will consist of engine company services and such <br /> additional service as the Chief of the Fire Department of the City deems necessary, <br /> practicable, and available, consistent with the adequacy of water service or supply <br /> within the territory of the Fire Protection Sub-Zone and the simultaneous needs of <br /> the City. <br /> <br /> (b) Said fire protection service shall be provided with a Response Time of three (3) <br /> minutes and thirty (30) seconds or less ninety percent (90%) of the time for all <br /> Code 3 Calls each quarter of the Fiscal Year. <br /> <br /> (c) Said fire protection service will include all fire prevention related services, such as <br /> plan checking, new construction inspection, building and occupancy inspections, <br /> <br /> 3 10/21/97 <br /> <br /> <br />
