SCHEDULE A <br /> Glossary of Terms <br /> <br /> ALS <br /> Advanced Life Support as defined in Section 1797.52 of <br /> Division 2.5 of the Health and Safety code. <br /> <br /> Deficiency <br /> A failure to adhere to the terms of this Agreement, <br /> including but not limited to, failure to comply with any <br /> applicable policies and procedures issued by the local EMS <br /> agency and any amendments thereto, and any applicable laws, <br /> rules or regulations. <br /> <br /> Emergency Medical Dispatch <br /> A medical dispatch system which includes but is not limited <br /> to, caller interrogation questions, prearrival instructions, <br /> treatment instructions and prioritization of ambulance and <br /> first responder response. <br /> <br />Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMI)) <br /> A person, employed by an agency providing emergency medical <br /> dispatch service, certified or authorized by the San Mateo <br /> County EMS Medical Director. <br /> <br />EMT-Paramedic <br /> As defined in Division 2.5 of the Health and Safety Code, <br /> Section 1797.84 and Title 22, Section 100138. <br /> <br />Paramedic <br /> As defined in Division 2.5 of the Health and Safety Code, <br /> Section 1797.84 and Title 22, Section 100138. <br /> <br />Patient Profile Information <br /> Patient Profile Information means non-medical information <br /> appearing on the patient care record including, but not <br /> 1 imited to, the patient ' s age, address, and medical <br /> insurance status. <br /> <br />Priority 1 Response <br /> Life-threatening emergency medical response, as defined' by <br /> County Emergency Medical Dispatch Guidelines, requiring the <br /> use of lights and sirens and first responders. <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
