EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> REDWOOD SHORES FIRE STATION <br /> AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />PART ONE - PHASES 2, 3, 4 Revised 8/21/96 <br /> <br />A. The Scope of Services will consist of architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, fire <br /> protection, electrical, fuel, acoustical, geotechnical engineering, landscape architecture, <br /> energy analysis, cost opinionating and construction manager/general contractor selection <br /> consultant. <br /> <br />B. Our scope of service does not include traffic engineering nor specialty electrical <br /> engineering such as, but not limited to, computer system design, audio visual system <br /> design, telephone and communication system design, model building nor renderings. We <br /> will, as part of our basic services, include one digital design site/building perspective of <br /> the project. <br /> <br />C. The site is approximately two acres within an existing residential neighborhood. The <br /> principal site is referenced as Recorder's File #85072031, Lot C, 1.282 AC+ in the City of <br /> Kedwood City, San Mateo County and includes portions of Lot B, Kecorder's File <br /> #85072034. The approximate boundaries of the study area are Kedwood Shores Parkway <br /> to the north, property line of Lot B and residential properties to the west, a line bisecting <br /> the existing water tank at its center approximately parallel to Kedwood Shore Parkway to <br /> the south and the property line of Lots B & C adjacent to the Bay Water access right-of- <br /> way to the east. <br /> <br /> D. Architectural and Engineering services for the design of a new branch fire station of <br /> approximately 5,000 square feet (actual final size contingent upon available funding). <br /> Total project funding is to be $1,400,000.00. The new fire station will be based upon the <br /> Kedwood Shores Fire Station and Maintenance Facility Program dated July 25, 1996, as <br /> prepared by DES Architects + Engineers, Inc. Architect will endeavor to design new <br /> facilities such that consWaction costs do not exceed available project funding as shown <br /> herein. <br /> <br /> E. Architectural and Engineering services for the design of a new satellite maintenance <br /> facility of approximately 2,500 square feet (actual final size contingent upon available <br /> funding). Total project funding is to be $700,000.00 The new maintenance facility will <br /> be based upon the Redwood Shores Fire Station and Maintenance Facility Conceptual <br /> Prograra dated July 25, 1996, as prepared by DES Architects + Engineers, Inc. The <br /> maintenance building will be a pre-engineered type structure.
