Personal Business Leave: Contract Employee will receive two (2) paid personal <br />business leave per year and shall be available after six (6)months of service, and is deducted <br />from sick leave. <br /> <br /> Vacation Leave: Vacation Leave shall be available after six (6) months of service. <br />Contract Employee shall accrue vacation leave on a monthly basis at the rate of ten (10) days <br />per year of service <br /> <br /> Public Employee Retirement System: Contract Employee will be entitled to participate <br /> <br />in PERS after accumulating 1,000 hours. PERS retirement benefits will start after <br /> <br />accumulating 1,000 hours. <br />Term <br /> <br /> The term of this Agreement shall commence on March 3, 1997, and shall expire on <br />March 8, 1998, unless this Agreement is sooner terminated. <br />Termination <br /> <br /> Either party may terminate this Agreement without cause upon giving the other party <br />not less than two (2) weeks prior wntten notice. The City may upon delivery or receipt of the <br />termination notice, at its option and sole discretion, request that Contract Employee either (1) <br />continue to render the services described in Exhibit "A" until the date of termination or (2) <br />immediately cease the performance of any or all of the services described in Exhibit "A". <br />Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, Contract Employee shall, upon Notice of Termination <br />deliver to City a written status report of all projects or matters in which Contract Employee is <br />involved. Regardless of whether Contract Employee rendered services dudng the termination <br />period, Contract Employee shall be entitled to the payment of two(2) weeks regular <br />compensation. In the event of su~:h termination, all dghts and obligations of the parties hereto <br />shall thereupon cease, except as to vacation hours which may have accrued or have been <br />incurred prior to the (:late of termination.
