Status <br /> <br /> Contract Employee shall serve at ti~e pleasure of the City Manager, subject to the terms <br />and conditions hereof, and shall not acquire a property interest in employment or a right to <br />continuing employment with the City of Redwood City. The terms, covenants, and conditions <br />of Contract Employee's employment with the City are expressly limited by and to the terms. <br />covenants and conditions of this Agreement. <br />Compensation <br /> <br /> Rate - Contract Employee shall be compensated for the performance of the above <br />described services at the rate of $41.33 per hour. Payment of such compensation shall be <br />made bi-weekly. Contract employee shall be entitled to overtime, at straight time and one-half <br />for time worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work/week. <br /> <br /> Benefits - Contract employee shall be entitled to the following benefits: <br /> <br /> PERS Retirement: Contract Employee shall be entitled to participate in the Public <br />Employees Retirement System. PERS Bonus/Special Comp will be applied. <br /> <br /> State Disability Insurance: Contract Employee shall be entitled to participate in the <br />State Disability Insurance. Applicable: Yes X No <br /> <br /> Recoqnized Holidays: City shall provide paid holidays as listed in Exhibit "B", attached <br />hereto and incorporated by this reference. <br /> <br /> Bereavement Leave: Contract Employee may be absent with pay up to three (3) <br />consecutive work days (four (4) days if travel requires over 300 miles) available upon <br />commencement of employment because of a death in Contract Employee's immediate family. <br /> <br /> Sick Leave: Contract Employee shall accrue sick leave on a monthly basis at a rate of <br />one day each month of service up to a total of 12 days per year. Sick leave shall be available <br />after six (6) months of service. Unused sick leave is not camed forward from one year to the <br />next, Contract Employee st~all not be paid for unused sick leave. <br /> <br /> <br />
