ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF <br /> VETERANS BOULEVARD BETWEEN STATE RIGI~WAY 101 AND <br /> THE PROPOSED PROJECT LIMITS APPROXIMATELY 670 FEET <br /> SOUTHERLY OF CITY LIMITS IN THE REDWOOD CITY AREA <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 0~$¥~'day of~ <br />1997, by and between the CITY OF SAN CARLOS, a municipal corporation of the <br /> <br />State of California~ hereinafter referred to as "San Carlos", and the CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafier <br />referred to as "Redwood City". <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City and San Carlos are desirous to improve Veterans <br />Boulevard, between State Highway 101 and the proposed project limits approximately <br />670 feet southerly of the City limit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a portion of the proposed Veterans Boulevard project lies within the <br />incorporated limits of the City of Redwood City. A map showing the area to be <br />improved in accordance with this agreement is attached as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed improvement of Veterans Boulevard shall include, but <br />not be limited to, the installation of surface drainage improvements, traffic striping, <br />roadway improvement work, and landscaping and irrigation systems; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City and San Carlos agree that San Carlos shall act as <br />lead agency in the preparation of plans, specifications, and related documents for the <br />improvement of Veterans Boulevard, between State Highway 101 and the proposed <br />project limits approximately 670 feet southerly of the City limit; such plans being <br /> <br /> <br />
