9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />B. Appointments to the Planning Commission (3 three -year terms, expiring June 30, <br />2006). In roll call order, Council Members were polled by the City Clerk to vote for <br />up to three applicants. (209) <br />• Julia Cheng <br />• A.D. Gaw <br />• Michael Hitchcock <br />• Rachel Holt <br />• Gabriella Judd <br />• Kenneth C. Knutsen <br />• Rudy Luca <br />• Robert Lyman <br />• Hilary Paulson — Council Members Hartnett, Howard, Pierce, Ruskin, Vice <br />Mayor Ira, Mayor Claire <br />• Fred Thiemann — Mayor Claire <br />• Kristina Vetter <br />• Roy Yost <br />The three successful applicants were Tom Cronin, Rosanne Foust and Hilary <br />Paulson. MINUTE ORDER 03 -208 <br />Public Comment: <br />Rudy Luca stated he applied and was interviewed for the position on the Planning <br />Commission. He stated that he was not told after the first interview that he did not <br />make it and he found out on the internet. <br />Council Member Hartnett stated that the decision to appoint the Planning <br />Commission members was publicly announced for tonight and it is done at the <br />meeting. There is nothing announced on the City website as to the appointees <br />because the decision was just made in public.
