Rudy Luca agreed with Kaiser being in Redwood City and has been satisfied with <br />the services. He asked that any impact to Casa de Redwood be considered and <br />dealt with. <br />Janet Borgens stated her agreement with Mr. Hughes and the concerns of Casa <br />de Redwood related to the residents' current difficulties getting across the street to <br />K -Mart and other businesses. She stated that the closest crossing is at Maple <br />Street and the shortest walk for them might be to cross the street where there is no <br />crosswalk. <br />M/S Ira /Ruskin to close the public hearing. The motion passed by a unanimous <br />voice vote by those present. <br />Council comments and questions ensued that included a need for additional work <br />on the architecture and concerns about construction noise. Kaiser was <br />complimented for both accomplishing its objectives in serving its patients and the <br />community while coming together with a plan that makes sense for the City in <br />terms of its functional and esthetic impact on downtown and the entire City. <br />M/S Ruskin /Ira to: <br />1.
